Amy, Their unapologetic front desk
Our reservation last Christmas Eve was not on their system, When I spoke with hotels.com's customer service as to why is our reservation is not reflecting with Days Inn's system, I was told that the hotel property did not confirmed our reservation. I told Amy, their front desk about it but she did not have any remorse, no apologies or whatsoever, she just defended their side. So imagine, traveling with a toddler on a Christmas Eve, expecting that you have a confirmed reservation and then almost not having any place to stay. I am grateful that she manually checked us in, although it shouldn't be the case if the hotel property accepted our reservation. The whole process of checking us in took around 30 minutes, I asked her if my daughter and my husband can get the keys because we have an appointment in a few but she raised her voice instead. Next time you encountered a problem with any reservation, what we need to hear is a little empathy, not any reasons, she also kept talking about her point of view even if we are on the front of elevator which I find very unprofessional.
