Our stay at the Residence Inn in Upper Marlboro was perfect for our family of five. We booked a two-room suite, which provided plenty of space and comfort. The kitchenette was well-equipped with an almost full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove, though we didn’t use it much since the hotel offered a delicious breakfast each morning. The breakfast included a hot entrée, oatmeal, and a make-your-own waffle station, which was a great start to our days.
The sleeping arrangements worked out perfectly, with enough beds for everyone and a fold-out couch for our youngest son. The hotel was very clean, and the employees were exceptionally friendly. My kids loved the indoor swimming pool, and we felt safe in the area, which is new and well-developed. The location was also convenient, with an Aldi, Chick-fil-A, and other shops within walking distance.
One of the best parts was the easy access to Washington, D.C. The hotel is just 12 minutes from the Metro station, where we parked for a reasonable $4.50 per day. Taking the subway into the city and back was affordable at less than $13 per person.
Overall, this hotel was an excellent choice for our family, and I would highly recommend it to others. We’ll definitely be looking for similar Residence Inn Suites for our next vacation!
