We booked our stay to visit Salem before the rush. We arrived at 10 pm and the staff gave us the run down on breakfast, pool, gym and the mini-store. The hotel shares space with Homewood Suites, so that was peaked our curiosity. (We definitely got the better deal!)
We got up to our room and everything was impeccably clean. We settled in, unpacked for the night and pulled up the footstools to the couch after logging into our own YouTube account. After a few videos I jumped in the large walk-in shower. The water pressure was amazing and again the bathroom was clean and well-designed. My SO followed suit.
Clean & exhausted we climbed into the soft, clean king sized bed. I liked the VERY soft pillows (2 apiece) however my SO took the pillow from the couch as it was a little firmer.
We awoke and my SO lamented the shade not being able to block the morning sunlight- then found the darker shade pull upon further inspection. Guess that's what you get for not turning in the ample lights in the room. We went to breakfast and had an array of choices from fruit, eggs, waffles, cereal, yogurt and 3 "bread/bagel" options. They also offered 3 juices, tea and coffee.
We did swim in the pool and I would've preferred a higher water temperature. The warm pool towels made up for it though.
We will definitely stay again, especially now we know how to find the entrance to the parking lot! It was hard in the dark, but no issue the next day in daylight.
