We absolutely loved our two night stay here. I had to persuade my non camping wife this was a good idea and I was so pleased that she loved it as much as me.
The accommodation was really clean and extremely comfortable. The toilet facilities are basic but what you would expect in a desert setting . The showers were very good.
A light breakfast with fruits, yoghurt, juice, coffee or Navajo tea was just enough to set you up for the day.
The setting is amazing, with a great circular walk from the campsite offering some spectacular views. Being on a sheep farm, don't be surprised if a flock of sheep strolls through at some point guided by a couple of very friendly dogs.
The site is ideally situated for visiting the Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Page, Lake Powell and any number of organised tours, and the owners will be happy to make suggestions and answer any questions you have .
This is a busy tourist area, for good reason and if you want to get away from it all and avoid a night or two in a hotel with lots of other visitors, and if you want comfort mixed with a sense of romance and adventure then this is the place to stay.
Oh, and after a busy day exploring the canyons and lake this is the perfect spot to unwind and watch the night sky. I woke up at 2am to photograph the milky way, I have never seen the night sky like this before, it is amazing.
I'm not sure if I will ever get the chance to come this way in future but if I do I will definitely try to stay here again.
