Nice island
Pros:
Room was clean and nice, and staff was very friendly. Place itself is a very nice tropical island, where at least at the beginning of the peak season you're able to find a serene spot of beach with white coral sand with no one else in sight. Staff was very friendly and professional, even when there were some occasions that surely tested their nerves. Had probably the best cocktails here (better drinks here than e.g. in Hotel Nacional)
Cons:
Reason I didn't score cleanliness well was that there is a bird problem in the larger restaurant. Grackles stalk the food on breakfast and lunch times, and it's not advisable to leave the table unattended when going to get food - grackles will be all over when there is an unattended table. This is not a critique towards the staff - they're simply not able to be everywhere at the same time. While I was able to protect my food I got crapped on so I guess birds still won that round.
Food itself - it's not "bad" and there are grill options as well, but the buffet food is a bit bland and after a couple of days you'll likely want something else.
