Overall, I liked it here and would stay here again. Shout out to Joseph at the front desk for being so helpful at check-in and kudos to a woman bartender at the Yavapai Tavern for great service and conversation. I returned one evening to find out that the heat wasn't working in the room, which was fine. The in-room phone didn't work and when I called with my phone, no answer. So I drove to the front desk, and was told by the front desk person that she tried calling the customers, though I didn't receive a voicemail. I was told that I could switch rooms but I opted for a space heater, and that the heating pump for that building would be fixed the next day. The space heater knocks the power out on one side of the room if plugged in there and the power resetted after an hour. The next day the central heat still didn't work, as it would stay on just a few seconds. It was late and I was leaving early the next morning. I was fine with another night of no central heat, but the front desk woman at check-out didn't apologize or say anything after I informed her that the central heat still didn't work in my room and that she shouldn't assign the room to another customer until it was fixed. It takes a lot for me not to give every lodging a top score but the non-apology or even a comment doesn't bode well in a customer-oriented industry. I liked stayed being inside the park and not have to deal with entering the park each day in case there is a line, even in winter.
