Oh how we loved this place! The grounds are beautiful, varied and large. There must have been a lot of guests staying while we were there, but they are simply absorbed into the landscape, only breakfast felt a bit crowded at times. The pool is large and the pool area very pretty and comfortable. Food was on the whole good. We had a seaview room, and that was wonderful because it really was very close to the sea. The room was decorated in a classic style well suited to the location, the only downside was that one could hear at times the noise from the other rooms. A word about the beach: it really is very small, and at high tide (if you're unlucky, the whole day, in fact) you cannot walk in either direction along it. At low tide, this is not a problem, you can walk for miles. If walking along the beach is a priority, then you should at the very least check the tide timetables before you book. We were there for a week, and the first four days there was only a brief moment in the evenings when a walk was possible. The last three had earlier low tides, so that we could walk properly in the late afternoon. However: the beach is clean, it's so small that it really feels private, and the swimming is normally safe. The sand does disappear under the water at high tide, but there is a pleasant area for sunbathing etc. right next to it on the grass, which is always accessible.
