Probably won’t be back
While I understand that Hampton can’t grant every room request, I asked for a room on the “highest possible floor, away from the elevator” (as I’m a light sleeper and have sound sensitivity). What I got was a first floor room, closest to the elevator. I got no sleep whatsoever as the loud music playing overhead in the common areas was on ALL NIGHT LONG. Also outside our first-floor room was a homeless encampment in the underbelly of a decrepit building. Feet from our windows. So not only could we not open the blinds the whole time, but we were a little creeped out.
Also, I had purchased a studio room (NOT an accessible room- on the website there’s a difference), and did in fact get an accessible room. This meant no lip on the shower so every time we showered, the water went all over the bathroom floor. Definitely a slip-and-fall risk.
In addition, the first two times that the bathroom sink faucet was used, the aerator came shooting off and water spurted everywhere over the vanity. I had to screw it back on myself.
I was really hoping our stay at SA Riverwalk would’ve been a better one.
