10/10
A small unpretentious established in a small village on the main road to Bridlington, which in fact is much better than at first sight. The rooms are set out at the rear, motel style, and are small but well equipped and perfectly adequate for a night or two. The pub, the only one in the village , has three well kept cask beers and a good selection of keg. The meals though, well, to say I had the best steak and ale pie ever in my 70 odd years would be an understatement. During the week the pub serves regular pub meals, but judging by the pictures on facebook the weekend specials look well worth the journey. The pub specialises in local produce, which is an added plus.
The village itself is worth a wander, with a prehistoric monolith in the churchyard and some very interesting graves.
