It is not the hotel's fault that I rated my stay less than excellent in its entirety. When I arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, I was told that they were without power and that So. Cal. Edison had told them that power would be restored at or shortly after 9 p.m. To the hotel's credit, they offered to allow me to cancel without charge. Since my wife and I were taking friends to dinner that night, I assumed we would not be returning until after 9, so we took the chance and agreed to stay the night. Unfortunately, Edison did not restore power as promised. Imagine being in a hotel room without power and only two cell phone flashlights apps for light. Without power, there is no wifi, no television, and not heat/ac. We made the best of things, as did the hotel. Power was restored around 2:30 a.ml. awakening us when our room lights came on suddenly and the heat/ac began running. The once we returned to sleep, the remainder of our stay was superb.
