Let me start with saying that we had a wonderful stay at B&B city center. The run up to the stay was not good. The instructions received from Expedia said that we should ring the hotel to tell them our arrival time as there is no front desk. The phone number is not correct. I rang Expedia on 3 different occasions, trying to sort it. It was a shambles. In the end emails were sent to the hotel, but no contact was confirmed. One of the advisors did ring me back and said that she had a team on standby to rehome us. So we started our holiday, not knowing if we would be able to stay there.
We were in the taxi on our way to the hotel when I did receive a message from Aldo, the guy who looks after the place, asking if we were on our way, what a relief, and what a lovely guy. He made us feel very welcome.
The second issue is we booked the apartment that says 3 bedrooms. It doesn't have 3 bedrooms. It has 2 bedrooms and a kind of living room ajoining the kitchen, with sofa beds. Not what we expected. Aldo did offer to rearrange the beds, but we said no, we would manage.
And now the good stuff. The apartment was actually lovely, high ceilings, immaculately clean, balconies over the busy square, lovely little kitchen with dining table.
Its not in the best area of Naples, but is perfect if you are planning to travel out of Naples to visit Pompeii etc, as 5 mins from the train station.
Breakfast was a lovely bonus, Aldo and Francesca were lovely, great place to stay.
