Best beach in Tulum
Very charming hotel, all roads are sand and you are few steps from the beach. Seaview-rooms are definitely worth the extra money!
No aircon anywhere in the hotel area, so might get a bit steamy. Good wifi but only in restaurant (you might get signal to your room if it's near to the restaurant. Nearest oxxo 2km from the hotel, around 6km to Tulum centre. Hotel rents bicycles 200pesos/24 hours and scooters 700pesos/24 hours. Price or time is not negotiable (no possibility to rent for example only for 2hours). Taxi to city center 80pesos one way. If you don't rent a car you will pay a lot for transportation.
Hotel restaurant could be better and serve also snacks and more vegetarian food. Everythibg is quite greasy and cheesy. Hotel is on the best part of Tulum beach!
The thing that put us a bit off was that the staff (especially those working at the restaurant) reminded you all the time about the inportance of leaving tip: "tips is not included but it's optional", "you should leave 10% tip at least", "please remember that although breakfast is included in the price you pay for the room, the tip for the breakfast is NOT included" and so on.. we know the tip culture but began to get irritated to get these comments every day. There was also a cleaning lady's own tip envelope at the room which was asking for a tip. The style was quite arrogant in my opinion, but it actually seemed to be the same in nearby restaurants where we ate also.
