Everything was good with my stay. The bungalows are in the shade which helps with the heat but I really wish I had gotten one with air conditioner. They did offer to move me to one with ac for additional fee but I declined. It’s not directly on the beach but a short walk down a narrow road to the beach. The location is good. Only a short distance to the walking street and about a 15 minute walk to the other side of the island. The staff and owner were great and very helpful. I purchased ticket to Phuket right there and they provide a Tuk Tuk ride to the port. Overall, a very nice stay in Koh Lipe.

Um verdadeiro chiqueiro o lugar

A pior experiência de viagem que alguém pode ter. Não havia internet nos bangalôs conforme descrito. Eu reclamei com o dono pois precisava trabalhar e o mesmo mandou eu comprar um chip local com internet ilimitada que custava 1000bahts ou 170 reais no câmbio do dia. Ele disse que a ilha toda estava sem internet o que foi uma grande mentira pois eu usei em dois restaurantes no qual eu estive. A internet não estava muito boa pois teve um temporal na ilha mas tinha internet sim. É sobre não estar muito boa eu entendo mas daí mentir e dizer que não tinha internet na ilha toda foi uma grande mentira. Tive que deixar o local no meio da minha passagem pela ilha pq é insalubre. Lagartixa, baratas e caramujo foram alguns dos bichos que passaram pelo meu quarto e quando eu falei na recepção o dono também disse que era comum na ilha. Outra mentira pois eu fui para um outro hotel que não havia nada dessas coisas e a internet também funcionava (não tão boa mas eu entendi que foi devido a tempestade) O cofre não funcionava. Eles te dão uma chave. Quem tem segurança de deixar algo em um cofre que é trancado por chave e eles com certeza tem outra? Os lençóis e toalhas manchados que mais pareciam pano de chão. As cortinas com mancha de sangue. O local não é a beira mar. Precisa entrar por um corredor e aninhar 100 metros. O que é a beira mar é um restaurante deles que nem vou comentar sobre a insalubridade. Parece um depósito de lixo.

Vi bodde 1 natt i bungalow och 1 natt i hotellrum med AC. + Hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Rummet med AC var rent och fräscht. Det luktar gott i både bungalow och i hotelllrummet. Personalen är riktiga djurvänner och tar hand om flera hemlösa hundar och katter. Vi betalade extra för att få tvättat. De gjorde ett bra jobb, vek våra kläder väldigt fint. Bra läge, nära till strand och walking street. - Bungalown var väldigt varm, hjälpte lite med fläkten men inte helt. I hotellrummet såg det ut att vara fuktskada/mögel i taket på toaletten.

If you don't need AC, pick this place

This was next to the best beach on Lipe. Very cozy if you don't mind being without AC. Still totally worth the money <3 very helpful staff and we filled our water bottles many times in the lobby. This bungalow had everything we needed: good price, clean, best location. Also as neighbours we had people from all ages. Tried their snorkeling trip and restaurant too - would recommend those also.

Avant tout je tiens à critiquer tout les commentaires négatifs concernant cette établissement. Les gens parlent de moustiques et chien dangereux, hors les chiens sont super gentils et les moustiques on ont trouvent par tt en Thaïlande. Il faut respecter le travail de ces gens .le bungalow est tres propre avec eau chaude, frigo et ventilateur, et bouilloire , le café et l'eau (tres cher chez 7 eleven 25 bath) gratuits et à volonté. L'accueil du propriétaire italien est top .

Clean and close to pier

Overall not a bad choice close to the beach and pier. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable and the staff helpful if I needed anything. A few negatives were the smell of smoke from burning nearby as well as the unstable wifi and that you can hear noise from any other guests.

Fantastic surprise. Best location and amenities.

Decided to stay a few extra night but our high end hotel was sold out we we moved to family song. Expected not to expect anything special but we actually loved it more than our expensive hotel. Location is as close as you can imagine to the ferry, long boat tours and the main strip. Also the room was loaded with all the amenities you need. I spend most of the day on the pour here reading and enjoying the peace and quiet. Defiantly come if back here.

lovely little bungalows close to the beach. A little hard to find if you get off at the other end of the beach, as there is only one sign that points up the small road and that you have to pass through another bungalow resort called Seaside. They happened to be doing quite a bit of maintenance which was great to see but wasn't loud at all. Staff were very friendly and accommodating when we had to unexpectedly stay another night, going so far as to change their reservations so that we wouldn't have to move rooms! Very clean and well maintained. Walls of the bungalows are very thin but quietness is observed during later hours, and mosquito nets are provided that added security from the mosquitos. Complete with hammocks on the deck, we really enjoyed our stay!

Chilling

Amazing stay in a traditional style bungalow which was kept spotless by the cleaners. A really comfy bed with a mosquito net and two fans to keep you cool. A hamoc out on the balcony was great for relaxing. All the staff were just fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Located just off the beach and just a five minute walk from walking street where there are great places to eat. With sunrise beach just 15 minutes walk and sunset beach just 20 minutes walk. Koh Lipe was just the best place to chill

This place is not the Hilton Hotel BUT for the price and location, and as a first timer in koh lipe, i like it! We arrived by ferry and while other travellers were checking maps and trying to get taxis etc, we just looked left and saw the 'Family Song Restaurant' sign .. job done .. the bungalows are set back behind the restaurant! (the next day we watched from a beach bar as the ferry arrived in the rain, i am so thankful for that sign!) .. (the beach bar was the cafe lipe, 20m towards town from the bungalows, superb, NOT the cafe de lipe, different place ?!) .. OK, back to the bungalows .. basic, rustic, bamboo walls so not for honeymooners, but clean and a great walk along the beach to walking street then to town (blue marlin in the KIng Crab restaurant, superb) and a short cut at back of bungalows to Sunset Beach, which, let's be honest, you will go to every night on koh lipe! That or Cosy Cove .. you CAN get over the rocks between them! .. finally, swimming is fine on the Family Song beach to the right, surprisingly quiet, but follow the uninviting rickety bridge for even emptier coves?)?! .. it is hot though so a fridge is a bonus in the room but that is only my opinion; i have no complaints overall! Happy vacations to you all!

Ok place but some bugalows better than other

The place is ok but we seemed to have gotten the worst spot. Our bungalow had no shady and was hot as hell. Plus we were next to some kind of maintenance room and heard a lot of noise from the staff. Plus the mosquitos really got us. We should have used the net from the beginning. The location of the place was good but honestly the island is so small almost any place has a good location. Overall it was just ok.

The place is clean but basic. It is very close to the beach but yet far. We were given a room which was at the end of their rooms. A walk to the beach was not more than 5 mins. Staff is very courteous and helpful. If you are looking a basic stay and close to the pattaya beach then this is the place for you. For the price, I expected a bit more better room but i guess in general stay in Koh Lipe is expensive

Loved it!

Second time I have stay here and enjoyed it just as much this time as I did before. Family Song is a great place to stay, the hammocks are a great touch too. Cleanliness is generally of a good standard, however this time I marked it down a little on cleanliness for this stay as I noticed the the room was not cleaned properly, when my pen rolled under the bed I noticed there was dust/sand and a couple of bits of rubbish under the bed true it's nothing major, but just takes a few seconds more to sweep under the bed properly. Staff friendly and helpful.

Loved the place!

Don't know how they manage to keep the cabins so clean with all the sand everywhere, but some how they do. Really enjoyed staying here, even got a free upgrade, very chuffed. Staff really helpful and very nice. Loved the hammocks on the porches, nice touch. Only downside was that there was some construction work going on, so some areas didn't look so nice, but guess that can't really be helped and will be remedied when the works are finished. Oh and great internet connection too!

Enjoy the peace!

Pretty much spot on! Good location if arriving from Langkawi as right next to the ferry drop off. As expected/described. Owners made sure everyone was quiet so perfect for us as we just wanted some peace after a day on the beach. Cute resident cats and loved hearing the birds sing in the morning. Only improvement would be to have hand soap in the bathroom..fairly minor but good for kids. What else does anyone need for a beach holiday?! Enjoy!
