I had a very negative experience with Tono at the front desk. The initial conversation was alright, but he only handed things to me with one hand, and used rough language. We attempted to check in at 12pm, and he let us know that guest check-in commenced at 3pm. We said that was fine, and went to get lunch. At 2pm, we were very tired from traveling, and decided to see if the room was ready. Understanding it was before 3, I can see his frustration. Tono became Irate and was yelling. He let me know that the room was not ready. I enquired further, to see if we can do an early check in. He said yes for 6000 yen. (less than 1 hour till the 3pm check in). After he became increasingly frustrated, we were going to leave the hotel, but he sent us up to the room. I don't know if he was having a very bad day, but that is no way to treat a customer. Other experiences at the hotel were nice, but the interaction with tono the front desk agent was very negative.
