Excellent Location
Location is excellent. We came to go skiing at Trollhaugen and it's just a few miles away. It is NOT ski in/ski out but not far at all.
Interstate park, MN is also close by with good trails and spectacular views. Location was also right off the interstate and an easy one hour drive from Mall of America.
Pros: beds were pretty good. Furniture had been updated recently. Location, location, location.
Cons:
Hotel is older but updated for the most part. I didn’t like that they wanted $60 up front for "incidentals" vs just filing a card and also charged $5 if plastic key card wasn't returned. That was also a first. Also, doors had to be shut hard to lock from the outside or they didn’t lock. Gently shutting wasn't enough. We came back to one of the doors (we had two rooms) agape but nothing looked out of place.
Lower level seemed to attract smokers as they all had a chair and a smoking container available next to the chair so that was sorta nasty when getting in and out of the cars.
Pool wasn't clean. Pillows were pancakes. Bring your own!
Would i stay there again? Possibly. There aren't many choices around there and there is a lot to see and do in the area.
