First when you step out of the train station (Shin-Okubo), you feel like where an earth have you come but your opinion changes quickly. You have everything you need close to you. Train station within 2 minutes walk (with JR Line it is easy to travel anywhere you want) , minimarkets, ATM, restaurants, you can even walk from Shinjuku to your hotel if you feel like (takes ~15-20 minutes). You live next to Korean Town, just go to the otherside of the bridge. There is a totally different atmosphere, restaurants, cafeterias and shops than in other areas in Tokyo. It was also easy to get back to the Narita Airport, just go to Nippori and take fast Skydriver or little slower local train to get there. There goes also Limousine Buses from Shinjuku if you feel more comfortable with those. My room was a little cold (that was a big minus) but otherwise it was pretty comfortable.. free wi-fi was great, blanket was really warm and cozy and you get your room cleaned everyday. Breakfast was fine, even though I'm not a big fun of British-kind-of breakfasts (coffee was good!). I was satisfied, even though I could see myself staying for example in Shimbashi next time.
