We stayed for 4 nights July 29-August 2. The apartment is nice enough in a quaint, safe suburb of Detroit, about 15-20 minues from downtown. However, we had several issues. The kitchen sink was not properly installed, it rocked and moved as it was not secured to the counter top. We adivsed the property manager and were informed it would be fixed. It was not fixed. Follow up messages were not responded to. The place was not that clean. There were crumbs and things on the floor and in kitchen cabinets, and there was hair in the bed linens on our beds (2 bedrooms). The trash cans in the kitchen and bathrooms were empty, the garbage bags were not put inside the cans, rather the bags were just left hanging there, very odd. The dishwasher was full of dishes, pots, and untencils. We did not know if they were clean or not. There was no kitchen supplies - no salt/pepper (we bought some and left for future guests), no cooking oil, no sponges, no dish soap, really nothing. In our many prior rentals the host always leaves things to cook with/clean with. There was a washer/dryer but no detergent to use. Again inquiries to the property manager were not responded to; we were ignored, very unprofessional. We really wanted to work out in the gym; that was a major reason for booking this place, for the amenities. We could not get into the work out area. The code provided did not work; it looked like a fob was needed. No response to messages. We would like a partial refund.
