I love cheap motels and get it but after driving for four hours in Bay Area disaster traffic I want to be checked in instantly. Waiting on anything much less about fifteen minutes exhausts me and makes disgruntled from the start and such I will be hypercritical of anything on the property. The room was eh, what I’d expect for $50 but the shampoo holders on the wall empty… the covers did what they should do but walking past an old mattress to my room eh no no no. My car was parked and the rest of the hotel was fenced off with a condemned notice soooo that was there. Ac was super powerful … just eh

Okay.. so it was nothing like it looked in pictures. Rooms were old and smelly. We reached around 10pm and rooms were not ready yet. They cleaned room right in front of us. Pool was empty, lawn area had dirty water and sludge. People around look shady. Owner was courteous and helpful though.

This Hotel is under renovations, I booked this hotel and paid for it a month in advance of my trip only to find when I arrived that it was under renovations with no rooms .... Very poor customer service on their part to not let Hotels.com know about this .

So bad, couldn't even stay. we arrived at about 9:45 red state eviction notices on almost all the doors. Front desk area was a mess flies everywhere con webs.and garbage on the floor. no one at the front desk. Pool was empty. Found the owner using the grill on the property, didn't come to help us had one of his buddies do it, got our key, room was wide open smelled of cigarettes, with a bed flipped onto the wall and cleaning supplies everywhere, not to mention tenants staring outside just watching us. We got out of there pretty fast. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Checked in around 9pm. Room was not clean. Floors had not been vacuumed. Toilet was not cleaned. Beds had one sheet on them to cover the mattress and a bed spread. No blanket. Luckily the heater worked. Room was inexpensive for the area, but some basics should be provided.

Room was absolite filth. There was no toilet papers. Could not shower because shower head was filled with lime rust. There were bugs. Also got bit by bed bugs. Dont waste your money! I would never go back there ever again.

This was the worst place I've EVER stayed at. I booked and prepaid for a quadruple family room as we were traveling with our 3 kids. We were put in a basic room with 2 beds. The door wouldn't lock due to a previous break in. There were roaches. There was dirt in the shower. There was dirt in every corner of the room. There were tweekers walking around everywhere going room to room. The pool had brown water in it. This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. We got the worst night of sleep because my kids didn't feel safe. It wasn't worth the $67 I paid and luckily Expedia gave me part of my money back after seeing the pictures of the things I've described. I wouldn't recommend this motel. Pay the few bucks extra for a better spot and DEFINITELY don't come here with kids!!!

Let's start with finding the proerty at 9pm at night. 1. There is no River Inn, it is currently named: "America's Best Value Inn", and there is no sign anywhere that it is the "River Inn". In fact, the person who checked me acknowledge it has not been known by that name for some months. 2. There is no pool. It is drained and under major repair. 3. The building I was assigned at dead of night in Room 202, was revealed at dawn to have signs posted on teach room adjacent to mine, plus almost all others saying: "DO NOT ENTER UNSAFE TO OCCUPY BUILDING IT IS A MISDEAMEANOR TO OCCCUPY THIS BUILDING OR TO REMOVE OR DEFACE THIS NOTICE PER:" (capitalization in original) and then goes on to various other writings and warnings from the City of Red Bluff 4. This was not unexpected, as upon entry the room had holes in the bathroom wall, spackle attached to the bathroom counter and electrical sockets, dirty walls and a dirty shower, garnished with a sink that was unusable except as water tap, because it had no plug. late at night, I just went to bed with a vow to leave first thing in the morning. 5. Finally, I cannot leave without mentioning what it lacked in legal requirements. There is no emergency exit plan posted on the door or anywhere, for that matter. A goggle search confirmed this a legal requirement in California. 6. I close by mentioning in addition to your charges there was a $15 pet fee. I am running out of space, more exist

We put our things in the room and went to visit friends and got back to the room at about 10 pm that night but as my husband was about to get into bed he says there was a bug at which point I argued with him because it would be gross. So we ended up pulling down the top sheet all the way and seeing more tiny bugs, then took off the bottom sheet and I had thought that all hotels would have the plastic mattress topper for help keeping them off but not, the mattress had holes on the corners of the seams and there were definitely bugs I took the best pictures I could. We never slept and I asked for a refund but neither the hotel or Expedia would give it to us or the 20 that we paid to was and totally clean everything’s ng that had touched the bed in that room. Therefore we disputed the charges I will not pay for NOT sleeping and ALL OF THE EXTRA WORK I DID to not bring bed bugs with me where ever I go.
