8/10 Very good

It was great. Lindsay at the front desk went out of her way several times to assist in making my stay as comfortable as possible. The restaurant in the hotel was jam packed on Saturday night but I was still able to try their food which was above average Vietnamese type of food. It was very close to King street and it was in a little alcove. I did however hear lots of noise throughout the night and in the morning from the room. Not exactly sound proofed. The balcony was a really nice touch and the room and bed were overall comfortable but the mattress did not seem to be the highest quality. It was convenient for a quick stay in the main area of Charleston. I'd recommend it because all of the staff-front desk ladies and the young gentleman, Taylor, at the valet were incredibly kind and understanding. It's good to feel well taken care of when you are traveling and this place hit the mark for that.

The Richemont was excellent. Stayed here on my wedding night and the staff sent up champagne along with a bag of local treats. The staff was very pleasant, and the property was beautiful in a great area downtown Charleston. Thanks Richemont team!

The staff was outstanding. The GM greeted me at the valet parking desk, accompanied me to the front desk where we got our rooms before noon. The valet person was outstanding and served as bell captain as well. The front desk staff was friendly, smiling and very accommodating Both our roooms were sparkling-clean and very large with lots of floor space. The beds were very comfortable as was the linen. Breakfast consisted of free coffe and croissants from a local baker. The restaurant looked very nice and was full for dinner. We did not eat there but should have as the local italian restaurant on King's St, Mario's was a terrible experience both food-wise and service-wise. The hotel is a gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Our room was very clean, great size and had a little balcony off of it. As a hotel guest it had very easy access to get in and out of the hotel. We were also in a perfect location to walk everywhere!

10/10 Exceptional

Our stay at Hotel Richemont has been absolutely wonderful. The hotel is modern, elegant, and beautifully maintained, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our rooms are super clean and decorated beautifully. The service we have received has been exceptional—special thanks to Isabell who took extra care of us and to Britton (GM), and his wonderful staff. The cocktails at the bar were superb, and lunch at the Two Bit Club was a great experience. Every detail made our visit feel special, and we are leaving relaxed, impressed, and already planning our return. Perfectly located just steps from world-class shopping and dining, this hotel offers the ideal Charleston experience. We’d highly recommend Hotel Richemont to anyone visiting—and if you can, book a suite, it’s well worth it!

2/10 Poor

Avoid!!! I booked and paid for a suite, but was given a standard room instead. When I raised this with the front desk, they acknowledged the mistake and promised a refund for the price difference. However, once I left the hotel, they refused to honor their promise and are now blaming Expedia for the issue. This is completely unacceptable – it’s the hotel that lists and manages its room types and availability, not Expedia. Passing responsibility and refusing a legitimate refund shows poor customer service and zero accountability. I wouldn’t trust this hotel again and do not recommend booking here, especially if you expect to get what you paid for.

10/10 Exceptional

I spent 4 nights at Hotel Richemont. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially Lindsay and Tamara. Our room was quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean. The restaurant (Two Bit Club) on the promises was good. We sat at the chef’s bar which was fun interacting with the chefs. Mike, the bar tender, was entertaining. Ask him about the U-Haul truck across the street from the hotel. He can tell stories! The shopping, the market, plantations…Charleston is a great getaway.
