The room was perhaps the tiniest hotel room I have ever stayed including Singapore, but it didn't bother me since I only needed the room for sleeping. The room was clean, yet there was a rather dirty carpet on the floor and there was a strange smell in time to time. The hotel staff was very helpful and nice, and when there were some problems with the air condition it was fixed during the same day. Breakfast was quite basic but there were some local specialities like cappuccino, focaccia bread and some sweet pastries. The location of the hotel is superb, it is in the old center and you can basically walk everywhere from there. The Palazzo Madama etc. are just 5 minutes walk from the hotel and the Egyptian museum 15 min. And one of the lower budjet shopping streets, Via Garibaldi, is really close. There's also a really good Italian restaurant, Bottega Mia, almost just around the corner at Via di Palazzo Citta (from the hotel at Via XX Settembre, turn right to Via Palazzo di Citta and walk until you see an old church at your right, the restaurant is at your left) . Also there's a bus/tram stop just across the street. All in all, for the price I paid I would say Chelsea is an excellent hotel at its category.
