The hotel changed hands and in the change over they did not transfer my booking across for a double room for one night in Padova. The receptionist was very apologetic and after I was able to produce my booking reference number, she said there were no rooms available. After further discussion she was able to offer my partner and I two separate single rooms (s single bed in each) or we could get a double room at the other Best Western on the other side of the city. As we had dinner plans and had just flown in from London and driven from Venice to Padua, we decided to take the two single rooms at this hotel (not great for what was supposed to be a nice night in Padova together). The rooms were VERY tired, awful decor, I felt like I was in a 1970s university dorm or hospital. The room was stuffy and warm and when I called to ask about AC I was told this will be turned on in May. My only option was to open the window which of course, meant the noise from the traffic at the major intersection outside came straight in. So all up, staff were very friendly and helpful but this property is very dated and losing people's bookings is not great. I would NOT stay here again.
