A perfect holiday in Portugal, with a really nice hotel. The staff was incredible -- they were patient with us and helped us at every turn, even with a free change of our room to a one with balcony, exemplary staff!
The rooms were movie-styled but not too much, very clean with a small fridge. The bed was comfy and the whole room felt luxurious compared to the price.
Didn't try the breakfast as it was not included in the price. The metro is just a few meters away and I recommend the 24 h ticket, only 6 euros/person.
This hotel is not situated right in the center but still within walking distance, maybe 15-20 minutes. But the metro takes you everywhere fairly quickly.
Arriving from the airport the bus was our choice, although from the bus stop we had to walk about 200-300 meters. It would have been possible to take the metro although then we'd have had to have changed once. Not difficult, only slightly disorienting, I suppose.
If you want to visit Freeport (the largest outlet in Europe), the bus stop for that is right next to the hotel, 50 meters away, very convenient! But remember, only 2 buses a day. Found some excellent clothes bargains there and the dogfish tasted great!
