When I arrived Friday night after a long auto trip, the first floor of this old 1950's style motel was unpleasanty musty and damp-- it smelled bad and triggered my allergies. Even the floor covering in the hallway was damp and musty. The room had chipped paint on some walls and inexpensive furniture--unimpressive; the bed however was comfortable. There were no electric outlets available--I needed to ask for two extension cords. I stayed two nights but after day one, when I arrived back to my room on Saturday night, it had not been made up--same towels on the floor, sheets not changed, etc. When I told the front desk person about it the next morning, they gave me an excuse, not an apology; the person tacitly explained that the prior day had been very busy. When I asked to speak with the manager briefly to mention this on my way out after checkout, on Sunday morning, I was told he was not in and given a number to call. All in all, this room was low-end and over-priced. I am retired now, but I travelled extensively and stayed in many hotels and motels over past decades in my work. This motel was a disappointment
