"The Retreat is gorgeous. The views of the Volcano and Lake are amazing. The pescatarian menu is perfect for vegetarians and pescatarians. All three meals are served. We did not have meals included but very much enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The pocket sized gathering places are charming - slider over looking lake, dining room and reception, the separate lounge area with tea and coffee looking into the jungle. The evening walk was fun.
The property is on the top of a very steep hill with accommodations running down the hill. A shuttle takes one up and down for yoga, however the hill is very steep and very long. With a reconstructed ankle I could not do it so was confined to the top of the hill which was beautiful.
Also the resort is very hard to contact. Our arrival plans changed because of a missed connection and we had no phone number or email to let them know. "

"Beautiful views and a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The pool was excellent—definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Highly recommend!"

"Pros: Hot Springs, Good meals with two restaurants, breakfast included; very nice staff
Cons: Treehouse was awful to stay in and definitely not worth the money; very outdated, tons of bugs everywhere; it was like staying in a tiny cabin infested with bugs. So disappointing. :("
