Not how a 5 stars hotel should be. Booked a room for 3 adults. The bed for the third person was unsurprisingly a pull-out couch. It was however very small, the mattress was completely busted, with hard springs digging into your back the whole night. In the middle the night, it broke, with one corner of the mattress laying on the ground. The room had generally seen better days, with stains on the carpet, holes in the bed head, rust and mold in the bathroom. Breakfast had a good amount of choices and was quite good, but at 35€/person per day, I wouldn't take it again. After discussing the state of the room (and the lack of comfort for 3 adults), we were offered 10% reduction on our stay, which was still way too expensive.

Really disappointing stay. We booked for a spa stay. We accepted a less ideal location in return for the services and ended up trekking miles for no benefit. We were emailed 2 days before travelling and told the spa was closed. I called and the staff member said it would all reopen by the time we arrived. When we got there only the pool was open. No apologies. Mould in the bathroom, rusty radiator, badly damaged headboard, aircon was turned off because of the time of year - despite it being an unusually warm week. There was one milk sachet in the bedroom, which wasn’t replaced for the entirety of the stay so we had to go out and buy it. Used cups weren’t replaced so we were washing up. The place was soulless and unfriendly. I would recommend anyone goes elsewhere.

Overall really nice hotel, friendly staff, clean room, impressive reception area. Only thing that let it down was the spa area. Children should not be allowed in the spa area, ok to use the pool. The spa is not a relaxing space due to children running about, people ignoring the textile free area despite being advised by the attendant, sitting in wet swimwear with no towel in the sauna, talking loudly and laughing in the spa area.

Decent, comfortable hotel in berlin but wifi signal needs improving , good choice of dining options, and well stocked breakfast, but be careful and be aware at checkin they will ask for 230 euros as a deposit , which they say you will get back when you check out , this is a ridiculous amount for any other hotel in europe !
