I don’t know how this hotel gets an 8+ rating. We were delayed nearly an hour to check in because their booking system was down and the management had no plan for how to handle guests without their computer program working. We had been at Six Flags all day in the heat, were tired, hot and sunburned and all we wanted was a shower and to lay down. Staff finally gave up trying the computer and gave us our rooms when we threatened to just walk away (they were nice; not their fault that they weren’t trained on how to handle a situation like this). Once in our room, I got a text from the hotel welcoming us and to text them back if we needed anything. The TV remote didn’t work, so I requested a replacement. Never got a response. Guess they were still dealing with their computer issues. We were sharing adjoining rooms with family so we had to borrow their remote control to watch tv. At least we had that. Windows and walls are thin and freeway noise was loud. Vending machines only take coin and $1 & $5 bills. No credit cards. Bath soap left me feeling like I washed with rubber cement. My skin felt so sticky after using it. Building is old and attempts to remodel were halfhearted at best. No breakfast, but they told us 3 times that they have 24 hour coffee? Like why would I want to be up all night in this place? Bed and pillows were ok (I was afraid to look at the mattress). Carpet felt tacky under bare feet. I would never stay here again.
