We loved our rooms at John Yancey! They were spacious and included a microwave and small refrigerator.
The beds were quite comfortable.
The continental breakfast was wonderful, offering juice, coffee, yogurt, bagels, toast, fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal and more.
The only problem we encountered was trying to get hot water. In the case of my room, it turns out the plumber who had recently serviced it had reversed the hot and cold water - so no matter how long I let the "hot" water run, I could not get hot water.
In the case of my husband's room, he gave up trying to get hot water after letting it run for several minutes. It turns out that because we visited in the winter, during an especially cold spell and with very few other guests in the hotel, we needed to let the water run at least 10 minutes to allow the hot water to get through the pipes to us. Apparently this is not an issue when there is high occupancy in the hotel.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful!
