Accomodation was good in general but a little smaller than we had imagined. Also we were two couples and thought we had booked a 2 double bedroom cottage but we had two rooms with bunk beds and one bedroom with two single beds and literally no luggage storage space in the rooms. We had to use the lounge area and one of the bedrooms as our storage space. The location was ideal for visiting Eastern Iceland, staff were friendly, and views were good from the cottages.

Really lovely stay at Horgsland Cottages. Incredible location and very easy to find. Place was very cosy. In the top room, we weren't able to adjust the heating and so it was abit too hot for us at night, but the other rooms had indiviual temperature dials. Nice convenience store in reception where you could buy coffee for the machine, drinks and snacks.

We had a good stay. It was a convenient place to stop in our trip around the island. The place was quiet. The cottage is a decent size for four people. The bathroom a bit small. Simple kitchen. We just used the microwave. Check-in was in-person at reception and easy. Don’t miss the Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, only a few minutes drive. One of the most beautiful places you will see in your trip.
