When I arrived, the attendant said almost nothing too me—nothing about breakfast the next day, WiFi password, or where things in the hotel were—he just needed my name and passport info. Then when I was showed my room, it smelled very strongly of mold, but I’ve been in tropical countries long enough to know that a little musty smell happens. However, non of my pillows had pillow cases and two of my pillows had huge patches of mold on the back. I asked them to change them. A man come up to fix it and then I discovered that the sink has problems draining. They quickly moved me to another room.
After that things were fine, but again almost no talking or explanation about breakfast—I wandered up stairs where I found a porch but no kitchen and then downstairs where I found the two guys in the kitchen. Without explaining anything, I was brought juice and then one of them men fried some eggs for me but they were terribly salty. Then he fried some sausages on such high heat that there were large flames from the pan, yet when he served them they were still cold inside. I left not hungry, but not really satisfied. When I returned that afternoon, I found my bed just as I had left—no one had gone in to Clean or straighten my room. By that point I was tired and didn’t want to wait for someone to come straighten my room so I just let it be. I’m afraid the hotel is pretty for pictures but need heaps of work on customer service and some hospitality basics.
