The Brown Bear Saloon is a very unique property and although the rooms are very basic (this is reflected in the price) the staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and the food is good. We enjoyed our stay there.

Nice little park across the road from the hotel. This place is not fancy or luxurious, but it has everything you need for a safe and comfortable overnight stay.

Our booking through Expedia did not work so we arrived without a reservation but luckily they had a vacancy. Overall, everything you’d expect from a roadside motel/bar. If you’re passing by, I’d recommend you stop in for a drink at the very least.

This is a perfect first or last night stay on a trip to Seward. Comfortable and cozy bar downstairs. If you avoid staying in hostels, this place is not for you.

I came in for a doctors appointment in Anchorage and stayed here with my husband and two dogs. It was nice to be out of the city and I have the gorgeous views everywhere. I was able to get the rest and relaxation needed after the appointment. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, Spacious and beautiful views out the window. This is our go to spot whenever we come to Anchorage because it’s out of the city, quiet and everything we need is right there. Cannot say enough about this place.
