I stayed here for 3 nights as a solo traveler. The staff is very nice and the property is beautiful. Good breakfast (plantains, fruit, eggs, bread), buffet lunch, and dinner (fish, rice, salad, and patacon). The hotel offers good tours (2 hour rainforest walk, monkey island, tarapotos lake for pink dolphins, fishing, and Puerto Narino). One day it rained heavily during the morning, which delayed other activities and prevented the group from getting a chance to see the Macedonia community. So keep in mind, some activities are dependent on the weather. There is a mosquito net over the bed. But there may be other bugs (roach, moth, spider) in the room. I was able to understand most things in Spanish, but if you only know English, I would check to see if you can hire a bilingual guide. Thanks to guide Alberto for his patience and showing me the beauty of the Amazon!
