Couldn't have asked for a better hotel
The staff was helpful and friendly, facilities clean and tidy, interior design modern and pleasant. The room had a smart tv in it so Netflix in the evening was possible and relaxing. There's no breakfast buffet in a common breakfast room, but instead you get a basket loaded with food such as bread and cereal in your room, as well as fresh fruits and milk, juices and eggs in the fridge, so you cook your breakfast in your room's kitchenette, which is well equipped, without having to bear in mind at what time the breakfast is served. For us that was an awesome solution because that way we were able to get up and ready according to our own schedule. Also, the cleaners refill the baskets and fridge daily, so no worries about having to rationalize. The hotel is located on the main street less than a minute walk away from the Linlithgow Palace, and behind the palace is a lovely loch, and around the loch goes a path less than 3 kilometres long. Additionally, the train station is a couple of minute walk away from the hotel, less than half a kilometre, and you can easily visit e.g. Edinburgh, Stirling or Glasgow from Linlithgow with a direct train connection, which take about 20-35 min depending where you are going. Also, there is a Tesco close to the train station so one can buy their own groceries and prepare meals in the hotel room's kitchenette. Overall we loved our stay and highly recommend Court Residence. Well worth the money and secure.
