Too short and sweet would be the only way I can describe our stay at The Brewster Inn. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by the very friendly staff, who were willing to help with carrying our luggage up 3 flights of stairs to checking our room multiple times for a lost item that we found after returning home. The views from our 3rd story room offered a bird's eye view of the lake and surrounding landscape. A cozy love seat by our window would be a nice addition for couples on a romantic getaway. The bed was comfortable, the room was of adequate size, but the bathroom was quite small. There was only enough room for one person a change and prepare for an evening out. A large dressing mirror in the room would have been nice, however the large hallway mirrors as you left your room complimented us completely as we headed downstairs for a delicious meal in their well-appointed and tastefully decorated dining room. The Brewster Inn lent itself to a promise of marriage that was 42 years in the making. As he got down on bended knee to ask that I become his wife someday, nothing else mattered. The small bathroom and lack of mirrors were a small price to pay for a moment I have been waiting for since I was a young girl in love with this man. Jennifer, our waitress presented us with a delicious dessert upon hearing our good news. Thank you, Brewster Inn, for making our getaway/promise an unforgettable time in our lives.
