8/10 Very Good

Very pleasant
The highlight to me was the staff - attentive, accommodating, friendly and enthusiastically helpful, despite my lack of fluency in Portuguese. and varying degrees of fluency in English on their part.
I found the 4x4 trip to the resort more heartbreaking than bone-jarring. The indigant people live off very little. I was wondering if a boat transfer from Pemba would be possible?
The accommodation in the suite was lovely, very comfortable and spacious. With two air conditioners and ceiling fans, you are well protected from the sweltering heat and humidity in your chosen accommodation.
The food was generous as all buffets tend to be. It did tend to be repetitive though, even lunch and dinner.
I’m not sure I would recommend it as a place to get some R&R. That would depend on how busy the resort is I guess, but you mostly run into other guests at meal times and at the beach.
The spa is lovely and well worth a visit for a treatment.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and introduction to Mocambique
