The Deluxe Hotel Vancouver

Adequate for a night stay over. Great location for stores, restaurants, and general city accessibility. Not a vacation destination but would stay again for a one night stopover.

The hotel serves its purpose and more. Staff was great and entertaining. It took me a while to figure out the shower, but thats totally on me. There was a dirty towel left on the floor, but thats something we can easily looked at. Price was great. There was even a view of the mountains from my room. I would definitely stay here again. (Sorry about the picture attached. I forgot to save the original picture.)

Renovated room looked wonderfullly clean and comfortable at first glance. Looking deeper, found Bathtubs are nearly all incorrectly piped with drains located at the opposite side of tubs - precisely where one might sit. The chrome wand drain stoppers sticking right up...(well, you get the picture) making baths impossible. We are bath people. Concierge switched us to a room with a correctly piped room (after bypassing 7 other rooms with similar freaky tubs or freezing temperatures) Disasterously, this new room stay resulted in an overnight in hospital with deep laceration removing a large piece of the underside of my foot. Had Tetanus vaccine and 5 day prescription for antibiotics due to severly bloody foot injury from exposed nails on floor in hallway - directly in the path to bathroom. There was no on/off switch for the lamp, though the wall plate showed signs of smoke/fire damage. Will not return.
