Staff were friendly enough but the smell coming from the shower drains was awful. Room smelt like a sewer. Staff just said it was one of those things and didnt offer to resolve. Luckily we werent in the hotel much so didnt have to put up with it too much

First impressions good. On one level, all the basics done well. On another level, too many issues. The Good Spacious and modern room Shower Comfy mattress Wifi Breakfast. The not so Good. Room was very overlooked. Room was ”noisy” - internal mechanical workings. Room not cleaned (2 night stay) Sofa in room (sofabed) - very uncomfortable to sit on. ”Plasticy” type cover on the mattress. If this is really necessary find a less intrusive material that doesnt rustle. Breakfast serving area in lobby and tables are very cramped and not fit for purpose. Exactly same as the other Marriott beside the Playhouse. To my surprise, my sleep was disturbed by locals returning home (singing and shouting) to surrounding flats in middle of the night.
