Beautiful luxury hotel just outside of downtown Austin. Not far from the airport.Free parking. Beautiful and clean grounds. Friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Restaurant also delicious. Definitely recommend.

We had a great stay
This hotel is amazing! Everything was clean, staff was friendly, and the resort had lots to do. Only gripe is with the pillows. They felt really uncomfortable. That was the only thing.

8/10 Very Good

I was surprised with a $37.00 “Resort Fee” that I was told that it gave me access to certain amenities. I would prefer to “pay as you go” rather than assume I want access to those items I was told it covered. I don’t recall ever having to pay a certain fee for access to the swimming pool. By the way it was only 41 degrees the night I stayed, not much interested in that one. It makes it appear to be a “hidden room charge” since it is not reflected in the roomrate listed on the website.

Lovely Hotel
We love this Hotel
This is our 4th or 5th stay this year and we will be back before the end of the year.
The only problem is the condition of the rooms. Worn out carpets and battered furniture. Need replacement and renovation very soon.

For us seeing an overall 9.2 rating we felt our stay missed that rating. I wld give it a 7.1. First the good, property is located with very nice elevation and self parking. The checkin process was smooth, the front desk was not unfriendly but definitely was not a warm friendly greeting. The room included a solid red wine, and the size of the room was good. I guess was my mistake but was expecting a tub for my wife but the shower was nicer than most hotels. We were able to get a late checkout which was really nice.
Now the negative, Although our room was good size, the carpet in the room needed replaced desperately. There were several large stains that were just gross. I did my best trying to cover them with our cooler and luggage but no hotel even a motel 6 should have carpet that bad.
The cost for the room in my eyes was very overpriced. You are charged an “Resort Fee” which I’ve paid many times in the past, however with that it’s usually a very nice pool. The pool was nothing special. There was a bar for the pool, but the pool definitely was Not resort material. We tried to get a drink at the main bar one evening and the young women bartender seemed overwhelmed & unhappy, needless to say we didn’t get our drink.
Overall the hotel was just way overpriced in my eyes and sadly I remember this stay as the hotel with the nasty carpet.

The hotel is visually very beautiful. However, I almost fell several times on the tiles in the bathroom on the floor and in the shower. Very much a liability risk if they read these reviews...some non slip mats are needed. It was a little jarring at the time. The fridge was not keeping things cold. The room service I ordered was pricey and was just frankly not good at all from a taste or temperature perspective. There were no customization options like adding cheese to your eggs on their website, etc. And I wasn't given any salt or pepper. And one final thing, the hotel has lots of wood around, and as you open doors and drawers around your room, there is a smell of "old", not quite mildew but just not new. Perhaps the room I was in had not been used in a while. But seriously, the hotel is visually stunning and the staff were exceptional. I did not visit the spa so I don't have a review of it. In the future, I would give them another try.

Hotel Viata is a beautiful hotel, in a beautiful area and definitely provided an exquisite atmosphere for the weekend. My girlfriend and I will come back and have another stay when we visit Austin again later this year.
