Park Farm Hotel & Leisure

The hotel was lovely, and we were put into one of the lodges which was excellent, although we would have had to crossed the car park to get to the pool. As in the current COVID climate this would have had to have been in a swimming costume and robe we didn't use the pool at all. The service was rather poor on a few counts, which hopefully is more due to the COVID situation and not a reflection on how things usually work, but it did mar the stay rather. Twice at breakfast we felt that we were rather invisible, and ended up leaving the table on the first day giving up asking for toast, and then getting up to find a member of staff on the second day, as having asked for more coffee it didn't arrive. The pillows in the room were very lumpy, so we asked for softer ones, which never came, so we ended up going to Dunelm and buying our own!!!!

Boutique suite was amazing, however it wasn’t ready for when we arrived. The excuse was Covid - sorry to sound unsympathetic but the room was expensive, and we live a few hours away. We wanted it ready on time. No offer from the hotel to pay for the drink we had in the bar while we were waiting for it to be ready either. Staff were lovely, and the food in the restaurant was great! Spa was ok - pool was full of older people all swimming lanes very slowly but the pool wasn’t set up for Lane swimming so it basically meant there was no room for anyone else to swim. The room was missing a lot of basics, like water glasses. Again the excuse was Covid. Frustrating. Overall it was nice - not perfect, probably not worth the money we paid, but was enjoyable.

Beautiful location, building and ground very well looked after, very clean and comfortable. Great facilities, food was nice and value for money, will definitely come back.

This is our 2nd visit here and it is lovely. Clean, friendly and the food is amazing and very good value for money. We have had the executive suite on both visits

From the moment we got to the hotel we were treated really well abs it felt like nothing was to much trouble.

Really enjoyed stay rooms were clean but spa could do with a deep clean pool got a bit crowded at times food was excellent

Lovely setting, helpful and friendly staff, great pool and spa. The only slight disappointment was the deluxe room we were given looked nothing like the ones advertised. The colour combination was very 80’s; browns, reds and beige, and there was no sofa, only two quite tired looking chairs. In addition, during dinner, after we’d had our main course no one came to take our plates and enquire if we’d like dessert, so after some considerable waiting we gave up and left. To be fair staff were busy covering many tables, but it was obvious we’d finished our meal as we were sitting back looking around the room trying to attract their attention. Not to worry.

Very pleasant, couple of minor niggles, shower screen shower signs of wear (rust). Shower head leaking from moveable joint when turned on. Toilet flush not always strong enough to clear bowl

Really nice hotel, excellent food in restaurant and breakfast was delicious.
