Romano House

Friendly, helpful staff despite the constraints of Covid 19. Good sized rooms and reasonable location. Bar and restaurant closed in current climate but a 1 minute walk to duomo square and a good selection of restaurants.

Modern stylish hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. 2 minor negatives: one of the light switches in the room wasn’t working, but more bizarrely there was some kind of mesh that was used to cover up the window, which I think was to stop people looking in, but looked more like some junk dumped outside the window. Breakfast was very good and well managed given Covid restrictions. A QR code on the table shows you the large variety available and the waiter brings it all out of the kitchen for you.

Very comfortable hotel in walking distance from station if travelling my train and main landmarks.

The staff was very helpful and the location is ideal for tourists, right near the historic sites.

Modern hotel, with various configurations of rooms. The rooms that face the inner court yard have little daylight. Breakfast buffet is generous in choice and served until 10:30 daily. Staff are courteous and helpful. The location is within walking distance of many restaurants, shopping and historic sites.

The manager of the Romano House should learn how to take care of their guests when issues arise. They had some issues with all the rooms in the floor that I was going to stay so they sent me to a different hotel far away from the city center (I picked this hotel for the location). They didn’t even contact me in advance to let me know about this. They waited until I arrived to the hotel to let me know (wasting of time). They also refused to provide any kind of compensation for the trouble. Better spend your money somewhere else.

No bathrobes and slippers, no separate bath and no turn-down service were provided at Romano House although all of these things were shown as included in our booking. After I asked at Reception for slippers and bathrobes, I was told they would be delivered to our room. I was subsequently told that no bathrobes were available but that slippers had been delivered. In fact, no slippers were ever provided. Besides these issues, we enjoyed staying at this property and would do so again.
