City Break
I enjoyed my stay at Crosstown ByPillow. The location was very good for South of the centre of madrid food and drink, but also only less than 5 mins to a metro stop which has line 1 which goes up through centro. I was initially given a room where the toilet flush wasn't working. After a failed attempt at fixing I was found a new room. Service at the front desk was always very friendly and helpful of all the people I encountered.

Great central location but quiet
All in all happy with our stay in this hotel. Location was perfect in the middle of the city with walking distance to basically everything but on a quiet street so we could get proper sleep. The staff were very nice as well and after check out we could leave our luggage for the whole day at the hotel before leaving in the evening. Room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The only minus is that there is no heating in the bathroom so the bathroom is pretty cold.

I definitely left my mobile phone charger in the room and went back for it after check-out, but the reception staff did not check it with me as they were told that housekeeping had not reported it. I felt it was unkind.

Very noisy, especially on the weekend. The AC was not working, heater instead. It was too hot for us. The only way was opening the windows to get a fresh air. But it was extremely noisy even we are on the 5th floor. The room was tiny. Just enough to you to walk and sleep. The only good thing is the convenient and walkable to anywhere.

This hotel obviously is not ready for public. For my first day check-in, still see renovation on the ground floor on the go. Staffs are polite and helpful, but room facility has not yet well installed and cleaned after renovation. Strong smell from new renovation, toilet floor is full with renovation dust. Electricity of the room flash out every 15 mins. It's in late June pretty hot in Madrid, air-con got turned off because of electricity supply flash out. Pretty annoying. I paid for no good comfort stay at all . Bed is comfortable, but still in winter blanket, with no air-con, hard to sleep in. Room design is great, but don't know why there has no small desk or table for placing stuff or eating, a bit inconvenient when you got something want to drop off. TV is new, but not yet connected. No signals. I was got tired to complain as only stay in one night. Completely bad experience. Digital door lock at my room 211 did not work well. Finally have to get a special access card from reception! Strange.
