Great location and great staff
We loved everything about our room except the bed. This is only because my Wife and I do not like soft beds. Some people do and if so great, but we do not and considered leaving a night early. AMAZING location and being able to bring out dog is super important to us. The room had everything we needed. An outdoor deck would have been nice but they do have rooms with private decks so we would book one of those next time. The walk along the creek into town is very convenient and much nicer than walking on the street to town. The Brew Pub is a nice walk along creek away :) Lastly, the smoke detector kept flashing throughout the night, which was very annoying. Overall, would strongly consider staying again BUT if the bed it the same we unfortunately will not.

Could do without the kazoo.
We were in cabin #16 and checked in Friday PM after dark. The front desk woman was lovely and very helpful. When we arrived at our unit, we could hear a kazoo being played loudly. We then entered our unit to discover the cabin was a duplex situation with a single door separating us from the people next door. The problem was that the people next door seemed to be two grandparents and their grandchildren. The noise was horrible, the kids jumping, screaming, playing the kazoo, and the adults doing nothing. I complained to the office the next morning and asked to move, but they were sold out. The front desk informed me they spoke to the neighbors and asked them to keep it down. The kids did stop playing with the kazoo, but nothing got quiet. They continued screaming, jumping, and yelling. The office told us they were leaving on Sunday so we chose to stick it out. Overall, the place was nice, but if we do decide to stay again, we would opt for a stand-alone cabin. When we booked the reservation there was no mention of this being a "duplex" or being attached so this was a surprise. Nobody's fault, I should have phoned and asked for more information directly. The couple that checked in on Sunday were quiet, we did hear their dog bark on occasion, but that didn't bother us at all, it was just the annoying kids that almost ruined our stay.

I've stayed at a couple different places in Idyllwild and I had the best experience at Idyllwild Inn. I stayed at their sister propert Strawberry Creek Inn and the experience was fantastic. From the beautiful room, to the creek trail in the back to the great staff. I'm really looking forward to booking again in the very near future.

Perfection. Again.

Cute & Cozy Inn
Idyllwild Inn or Strawberry Creek Inn is cute and cozy and the room was comfortable. But please be aware that while the map may show the location as right in the heart of town, it is down the road on Hwy 243 about half a mile, which if you are planning to walk can add to timing and walking along a busy road.

Great location
The room was clean and comfortable. Very rustic. It had most things necessary to use. I would have liked a broom and dustpan to sweep floor. It had a jacuzzi tub but didn’t use it. Right across from the lit Christmas trees and easy to walk all over town.

stay here!!!
Such a good stay! The Inn is in the middle of town so you can walk every where. The people at the front desk were always so welcoming and accommodating. They have dvd’s to borrow for your stay which made the slow nights fun!
