To start, this is not a true 5 star hotel.
Overall/ the service is excellent, the staff are incredibly nice and helpful.
Rooms are spacious but definitely had the aroma of a basement. I brought an airfreshner which helped. The room could use some minor repairs as well- but overall not bad, water was always hot.
Restaurants- reservations required for dinner- I had some issues with booking, but we did try all but one restaurant.
Swichi was amazing, Thalassa was also great- loved the breakfast buffet! Bloved by the beach was decent. And Tao Cat was… not good. The food trucks on the beach were alright.
We did cross over to the sister resort and eat amazing crepes on the beach, and the Gran Caribe buffet was amazing- lots of amazing options to try.
For activities: they had some stuff going on throughout the day, we tried stretching on the beach which was peaceful, Zumba, dance classes by the pool, bingo, and the ceramics class- the staff did a great job getting people into the activities and they were very fun.
In the evening they hosted parties or had shows, Monday night is karaoke. The shows were great- right on the little stage by the Thalassa pool/lobby area.
We did also check out the theater at the sister resort and they had some fun shows too.
The beach was nice- lots of seaweed so if you’re a big beach person, this might not be the spot. You can walk far out- recom watershoes.
Beach is nice with lots of chairs- sellers are annoying and overpriced. Pools are great!
