Hilton Garden Inn Joplin - Joplin

Everything was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Would only suggest better breakfast offered.

Great hotel at an average price. Always stay here when in Joplin.

First off, $10.95 per person for breakfast is rather steep, especially for an 11-yr old who barely eats. They need to take the time to actually clean the rooms. The filters for the AC were caked with dust and there were piles of crumbs on the floor underneath the chair in plain sight. The AC wouldn't cool the room below 72, which became a problem when my son had a heat injury. I tried setting it to 50 but it never cooled. Complaints were met with "That's a maintenance issue and they don't work weekends". VERY noisy pipes every time someone used more than the sink. I don't know what these beds were supposed to be like, but mine never adjusted regardless where I moved the dial. The mattress had tears in it near the dial and looked worn out. The beds were terribly uncomfortable with pillows that either went completely flat or wouldn't give, nothing inbetween. The TV channel listing was archaic; none of the channels matched what was on the TV. Over half the channels were static and fuzzy making it difficult to watch and enjoy. There is obscene graffiti in the information booklet. Housekeeping pounded on the door in the late afternoon then decided to come right in before I could walk to the door. We have crossed it off our list and will never stay here again. The only highlight was a very sweet woman who normally works breakfast but was working dinner that first night. She was very friendly, helpful, intelligent, and accommodating with my son (who happens to be special needs).

Nice hotel for staying at the Joplin area. Clean and very polite hotel staff.
