Terrible experience. My stay was prepaid, and I notified the property ahead of time that I would be arriving later than planned, after my flight was rescheduled due to the winter storm in NY. They confirmed the message and told me my room would be held.
When I arrived at the property around 7:30pm, I was able to access the room with the code provided, but it had clearly not been cleaned from the previous guests (dirty linens piled on the bed, dishes in the sink, trash and liquor bottles by the door).
I called the property and was told someone would come within 5-10 minutes. No one came. I contacted Hotels.com support, and after waiting about 30 minutes, I was told the property was “trying to send someone,” but that the usual person was unavailable. No one ever arrived or followed up. I tried calling the property again, and it seems that they just stopped answering my calls.
After waiting over an hour in the hall outside my room with no help or communication, I had to leave to find another hotel. The property never followed up with me, and I am still awaiting a response to my request for a refund - almost two weeks later. I've spent more than 3 hours on chat/phone with Hotels.com and their support has been barely the minimum. Extremely disappointed all around.
