Martha is a pleasant host in this historic inn. Check in was easy, beds are so comfortable, we stayed in the family suite and it was very roomy and cozy. Great TV and sitting area, Water,wine, snacks, coffee pot and fridge is appreciated. AM coffee is fantastic but breakfast was only croissants/cakes during our two day stay. Would suggest some boiled eggs. This is an historic home so there will be the musty smell associated with old homes. All in all a comfy cozy place with lots of room for your family. It is safe and quiet for an excellent night sleep. AC unit in bathroom was on the fritz and Martha replaced it promptly the next day. I found her to be extremely communicative. Didnt get to enjoy the town as we were visiting family in kitty hawk but it looks like a nice town to visit with a saturday am farmers market. It is a solid one hour drive to kitty hawk.
