We booked this hotel for a overnight stay bfore our morning flight. We did not expect much, just a warm bed in a good location. We did get that, but not without a little difficulty. Check-in time was supposed to be 14:00, but we didn´t get into our room until 16:00. This was disappointing, because we had had quite a long journey from Irish countryside and were keen to clean up and get some rest.
Also, the room was quite cold and draughty. Even though we switched the radiator all the way up, the room didn´t get warm unti late in the evening. The bed was small, but reasonably comfortable. Bathroom was clean, but cold.
Otherwise the hotel was what you would expect, small but practical and the staff was friendly. Location is excellent, just a shout away from the Spire and the Airport bus stop is right in front of it. We didn´t have breakfast at the Lynam (I believe it is served in the neighboring restaurant) so I can not comment that.
All in all, I´d say Lynam is a cheap, below-average hotel in a premium location. If you are on a budget and don´t mind the problems I mentioned earlier, it is pretty good value. Personally, I will probably pay a little more next time.
