We traveled during the major snowstorm and called the hotel to ask if we could push our reservation back one day so we could still stay the full week as planned. The hotel told us we had to contact Hotels.com and said there was nothing they could do. Hotels.com then told us to call the hotel. I went back and forth between both several times with no resolution. Because of this, we were charged for a night we never stayed and then had to pay for an additional night to keep the original length of our stay. This was frustrating because the airline we flew with changed our flight just two hours before departure due to weather. Even without travel insurance, they still accommodated us. It made the lack of flexibility from both the hotel and Hotels.com even more disappointing. The food was ok, but not something I’d recommend the hotel for. I’m pregnant and wasn’t drinking, so maybe alcohol would’ve made it better. Checkout was the worst part. My husband was loading our 2 small children into a taxi when I was told we’d be charged $70 per missing wristband. Our 4year old didn’t keep hers on, so we cut it off and saved it, but it had been thrown away in the room trash on the last day. Thankfully, my husband ran back to retrieve it. The staff was unhelpful and rude, and this policy was not clearly explained at checkin. It felt like a hidden fee. If I were rating solely based on checkout, it would be very poor. The overall experience was ok but not one I’d rush to repeat or recommend
