What a great place for a hotel.
Great location. Decent rooms and good value for money. Would have scored a 5 but there was daytime construction on site that will ruin any jet lag sleep you might need…as I discovered to my dismay as I wasn’t told about it in advance. Other than that the staff were great.

From being greeted so nicely at reception . even the friendly maintenance man taking down the Christmas decorations chatty & welcoming. Housekeeping polite & friendly. Had a lovely cooked to order breakfast & service from breakfast team again very professional & warm welcome. Room was good with nice view of the lock & good shower.

Rooms need refurbishing
I've always stayed at this hotel when visiting London. It has always been amazing, but this year (Dec 2024) it has really gone downhill. The cleanliness of the rooms is not so good anymore. the rooms are outdated. The heating did not work in our room, and when I told reception they put a small oil filled radiator in the next day. Which was not acceptable. The breakfast was amazing, but I won't be staying here again, and will book a different hotel in future.

There was considerable noise due to construction works being carried out on the property. The front of house staff refused to offer a solution other than saying it was my responsibility as there was a notice online. They were combative and unapologetic.

A great stay!
I have stayed at this hotel more than five times before and I always come back. It’s nice and quiet even though it is situated right in the middle of the Camden buzz and by the Lock. There’s a lot of things to experience nearby and it’s easy to get to other parts of the city. All the staff is very friendly and helpful and really do what they can to make you feel right at home. Which we always do! The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. They’re even better than my own bed. We had another great stay and will definitely come back again!
