When booking it states free buffet but at the hotel they say it's complementary. Due to Covid it's a take away breakfast. We had to face a bad experience with the breakfast. When order from is filled they decide the quantity of choices so, it's not buffet and If to much breakfast they reduced or do not give. So be careful if not you could be embarrassed. All other and room facilities good.
Smart, clean hotel, with excellent, friendly staff. Hotel car park is VERY expensive, but fortunately there is free on-street parking overnight (10h00 - 09h00). Breakfast buffet is very good value and offers a wide selection. Will definitely stay here again.
This is a very reliable hotel. Always clean and the staff is super friendly. not a high-end hotel but it does a great job. Free breakfast is always a plus.

Small rooms, we needed a triple and had a sofa bed which was not at all comfortable. Doors on the bathroom also needed repair as the hinges had dropped and made the doors a mission to close properly Good service though and really well located in The Hague, walkable to everywhere
Once again, the hotel ignores what I have booked on hotels.com. They offer you selection of different rooms, I select a double bed with sofa bed. On arrival at the property I enter my room and I am confronted with a room with 2 single beds and a small chair. Totally different to what I have booked. This has happened to me at least 3 times at this accommodation. The last time they said it was because I had arrived before the check in time of 3pm, this trip I arrived 5 hours after check in time! Overall the hotel is great,the problem is the descriptions and selection of rooms is a fiction, you may as well not bother choosing. I have tried everything, arriving dead on time, arriving late, arriving early, pretending there is 2 of me, nothing works. Please Holiday Inn Express can you either be more transparent in your selection on Hotels.com, get rid of whoever allocates the rooms or best of all just provide me with the room I have booked! I have stayed here 7 times this year (I like you) you got it right the last 2 times why have you gone back to your old ways. Breakfast is reasonable. Wi-Fi is great, location is brilliant, very clean, friendly staff, but room selection is a fiasco.
We had a very hard time finding the hotel when we first arrived in the evening because of construction on the street and because there were no lights on. The building was just black. They said the lights were out of sync because of the time change but that was a week after. They said they would tell maintenance and get it fixed but that was too late for us.
Another great experience at this hotel. My only observation, as always, is that the room is very hot in the evening.
Staff is not very helpful and does not go out of their way to help you, but this may be how Belgium people are. I am coming from Spain where it is the opposite there. Magnetic card keys only work for an hour, all week multiple trips down to reception to reactivate. I had an accident and was difficult to walk and this just made my stay a nightmare. Breakfast could be improved.
