Days Inn - Torrington

Staff was very nice and accommodating, room bigger than expected and clean. Pleasure to stay at.

It was a convenient and efficient for the type of stay that was needed, without paying an arm and leg.

We've been staying at this Days Inn for the past 4-5 years, usually twice a year (family). Establishment is consistently good with cleanliness and updates. Continental breakfast is simple but good. Staff is friendly and helpful, even letting us check in an hour or so early after a long trip.

Was our first time at this hotel. We had already prepaid for 2 nights. The lobby was clean. Seem to be a young family that managed the property. We were asked if we preferred a room on the 1st floor or the 3rd floor. We were reminded that there was no elevator. We asked for the 1st floor room. The only thing is that while we asked for a non smoking room the room smelled more like a smoking room than not. We opt to not stay in that room and asked for a different room. We opt to take the room on the 3rd floor. It was so much better and the walk up was not bad at all. The room was clean, with everything in working order. Although had needed an iron and ironing board as those items were not supplied in the room. The front desk person was very accommodating and provided one. The continental breakfast was minimal. Yogurt, oatmeal with fixins, apples, raisin bread, bagels, orange and apple juice, coffee and tea. The coffee was a little weak and not the best tasting. Other than that our overall stay was a very good experience.

It was uneventful.
